Participant Parking & Shuttles

***IMPORTANT ***

THERE IS NO DROP OFF OR PARKING FOR RUNNERS AT THE START LINE.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BOARD A SHUTTLE FOR TRANSPORT TO THE STARTING LINE. YOU MUST BE WEARING YOUR RACE BIB TO BOARD A PARTICIPANT SHUTTLE. 

Participant shuttle buses will depart every 15-20 minutes from 6 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. The start time you selected during registration will dictate which of the start waves you are assigned to.  YOU MUST BOARD YOUR BUS 1 HOUR PRIOR TO YOUR START TIME. If you decide that you need to change you wave start time, you can do so up until October 1.  There will be no changing of waves after this date.

NOTE: Because this is a chip-timed race, your race time will not start until you cross the timing mat at the start line. However, if you are competing for an overall award, please select the 7:00 a.m. wave for your start time.

 


 

 

As directed by the Maryland Transportation Authority,  NO COSTUMES OF ANY KIND are permitted during the Bay Bridge Run.   We understand that this year the race will be held on Halloween but safety is our first priority.  Please adhere to this policy. 

 


 
WHAT PARTICIPANTS ARE ALLOWED TO BRING

Participants will be screened prior to boarding the shuttle bus.  Please follow these guidelines.  All bags and persons are subject to search.  PARTICIPANTS MUST DISPLAY THEIR BIB TO BOARD ANY BUS TO THE START LINE.

Participants are permitted to bring:

  • Fanny Packs
  • Hydration Belts or Packs (please bring it full to the start of the race.)
  • Cups or Bike Bottles  (please bring a full bottle to the start of the race.)
  • One-Gallon Clear Bags

Participants are NOT ALLOWED to bring

  • Spectators/Friends/Family
  • Strollers
  • Selfie Sticks
  • Back Packs for gear
  • Glass Containers
  • Weapons of Any Kind
  • Costumes or Masks  (PPE masks ok)
  • Flags larger than 11" x 17"
  • Drones
 
MASKS REQUIRED ON SHUTTLE BUS

Federal policy mandates mask requirements on all public transportation until January 18, 2022, including those already vaccinated.  This policy includes our shuttle buses both to the start line as well as back to your parking area after the race.  Please plan accordingly.

Only the following type masks that protect the nose and mouth are permitted:

  • Surgical and Cloth masks (thin, soft, loose-fitting face covering held in place with loops that go over the ears)
  • N95 Respirators (cloth-like filter material; Convex in shape; fitted to provide a tight seal on the face)
  • Solid Colored Neck Gaiter style masks (fabric covering in the form of a closed loop worn around the neck that can extend to cover the lower part of the face)


 

Not permitted are:

  • Costume Masks
  • Face Paint
  • Any gaiter that covers portions of the head above the ears
  • Any mask with facial images printed or drawn on them.


PARTICIPANT SHUTTLES | PARKING LOCATIONS

There are several  designated event parking lots.  Participant parking and shuttles will be available at two locations western shore in Annapolis and at two eastern shore locations. Participants can catch a shuttle to the start area from any of the participant parking areas. YOU MUST BOARD YOUR BUS 1 HOUR PRIOR TO YOUR START TIME. Participant Shuttles will pick up from 6:00 am until 7:30 am   PLEASE NOTE:  MAKE SURE YOU BOARD THE PROPER BUS.  DO NOT BOARD A SPECTATOR BUS OR YOU WILL BE STRANDED WITH NO MEANS TO GET TO THE START. WESTERN SHORE LOCATIONS

Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (BLUE LOT)

EASTERN SHORE LOCATIONS

Chesapeake Community College (RED LOT)

Bus Loading Location: North side of campus by the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center 

Kent Narrows Center (GOLD LOT)

For those without a parking pass and being dropped off by friends or family please use the designated Drop Off Location at the center. Please go through the main entrance and around the shopping center loop. Please do not drop runners off at the entrance to the center as it may cause delays and congestion. 
Bus Loading Location: Along Piney Narrows Road next to the shopping center

There is a SPECTATOR ONLY lot available on the Eastern Shore.  However, there are no participant shuttles from these locations.  Do not park in these lots if you are a participant needing to get to the start line.

*Note: There is NO COST to walk to the stadium parking from downtown Annapolis and catch the shuttles. 

 

 

SHUTTLES BACK FROM THE FINISH


The finish area for the race is located in the Chesapeake Bay Business Park in Stevensville, Maryland. School buses will depart from Log Canoe Circle adjacent to the post-race party zone every 15-20 minutes from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Participants may leave as early as they wish. Each bus will be clearly marked on the front window and side with the destination so that participants know which bus to take.
